The Galley Gang Join Us This Easter

The Galley Gang have been back on site at Truro School Cookery during the Easter holidays.

Galley Gang’s intensive workshops  gather some of the world’s best chefs to lead classes in a variety of topics all aimed at busy yacht chefs and private chefs. The emphasis is not only learning new techniques and skills, but also running a successful high-end galley full of inspiration and enthusiasm.

The business uses facilities at Truro School Cookery, along with accommodation on site as it suits the groups requirements perfectly.

This Easter they have been joined by a new chef each day, including Michelin starred chef Lee Westcott, who has travelled from London to be part of the experience. His students are learning fine dining techniques, working with fresh ingredients to produce vegetarian options and to learn fish filleting skills.

Also on-site are Daaku, who cook mainly North Indian food, but through their travels  include dishes from all over India, with an aim to bring contemporary Indian ‘home food’ into focus – Comforting, simple and packed full of flavour.

For anyone wishing to try the delights prepared by The Galley Gang, they will be hosting a 10 Course Tasting Menu at Truro School Cookery on Friday, 18th April. Hosted by the Galley Gang chefs and led by local legend Chef Arty Williams (formerly of The Cove, Maenporth), this unique experience is the culmination of two weeks of intensive work by their chefs. The menu samples sublime seasonal local flavours, as well as some added flair that only 11 chefs working together can bring.  This is open to all members of the public, and you can book on the Galley Gang website HERE

Our  Cookery School is available to hire, for groups to host courses and events, photography shoots, product launches, recipe testing, and taste sessions. Alongside our state-of-the-art cookery facilities, we also have on-site accommodation available. Please contact us to discuss your business needs [email protected]
