It is always a pleasure to welcome St Erme Cricket Club back to Truro School each summer. As a valued community partner, the club makes full use of our cricket facilities throughout the season, using our grounds as an alternative venue to their home ground and enabling multiple teams to host Saturday fixtures.
St Erme Cricket Club is a thriving village club with three senior teams competing in the Cornwall Cricket League, currently playing in Division 2 West, Division 4 West and Division 7 Central. We are delighted to support their continued growth by providing high-quality facilities for matches.
The Truro School Senior site is home to three well-maintained cricket grounds, all featuring natural grass wickets dedicated exclusively to cricket and carefully protected during the off-season. The site also benefits from a spacious cricket pavilion, providing an excellent base for players and spectators alike.
Inside the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre, cricketers can take advantage of six indoor cricket nets with artificial matting and full safety netting, offering year-round training opportunities regardless of the weather.
At Truro School Prep, there is a further outdoor playing field complete with a newly installed cricket wicket, alongside additional indoor cricket nets, expanding the range of facilities available to clubs and organisations.
