The Burrell Theatre has been at the centre of a musical marvel this summer, with All Starz taking over the space with an excited cohort of young performers to learn and show their ‘Musical in a Week’ version of Matilda.
This popular holiday club saw the theatre fully booked and a hive of activity, with performers learning the script, dance routines, and getting into costume. Open to children of all abilities, this was the perfect opportunity to learn new skills and to give an outlet to those who love to perform.
Within 5 days, the professional team from the West End taught the young actors to perform a musical – which was then performed to parents, friends and family at the end of the week, giving participants a feel for performing arts in a professional theatre space.
Tolley Angel from All Starz has said “We believe in making the performing arts accessible to everyone between the ages of 4 and 18 years old. We offer affordable and high-quality training through various workshops across the South-West. We employ teachers and instructors from the world of TV, Film, and Theatre, to fan the sparks of imagination in our participants.”
