Representing architects, interior designers, structural engineers and property experts around Truro, a group of professional women gathered last week to learn Japanese cookery, make new connections, and build relationships across their industry.
The event arranged by CAD Architects in Truro was an idea born from three of their team who thought it would be a great opportunity to gather a group of like-minded industry professionals for an informal evening of cookery and networking.
Sally from CAD Architects explained that this is a very often a male-dominated industry, so thought it could be a lovely opportunity to gather lots of local women from across different sectors for an evening of food and networking with a difference.
Whilst talking and forging new connections, they learnt the art of sushi making. They created a wonderful feast of pork goyza, chicken yakitori, salmon and avocado maki rolls served with spinach gomae.
Truro School Cookery provided the perfect setting for a convivial evening of cookery, great food and networking.
"I wish to say a massive thank you for the help and support we were given. Everyone looked after us splendidly and without a doubt a good time was had by all. The facilities were excellent and the evening a great success, please take a deal of the credit for that outcome."
"Thank you so much for your hospitality in providing such excellent facilities for the AOTOS Access Day. We were very happy with the arrangements. The caretakers and catering staff were so approachable and willing to help."
"Wow! So many achievements and things to be proud of. We are delighted to have sponsored." Feedback when seeing printed edition of Terraces Magazine.
"We couldn't have asked for a better first night. The staff, were absolutely on top of everything even to the point of sending us all messages on Instagram to see what our needs were. Brilliant. Great venue, well run, nice crowd!"
