Specialist diets sometimes require specialist cooking skills.
Last week, Truro School Cookery hosted a group of NHS patients for an evening dedicated to food and cooking skills tailored to their renal-friendly diets. With an emphasis on low potassium and phosphorus recipes, Alan Rosenthal, our Head of Cookery School created a specialised cookery masterclass using the ‘Kidney Kitchen’ resources. The menu featured a frittata, followed by chicken pilaf, and concluded with raspberry and pear crumble.
Thank you to the NHS team, Rachel and Susan, their group of enthusiastic cooks and the Cookery School teaching team for a fun and informative evening.
"I wish to say a massive thank you for the help and support we were given. Everyone looked after us splendidly and without a doubt a good time was had by all. The facilities were excellent and the evening a great success, please take a deal of the credit for that outcome."
